Day Full of Laughter

For Jean Borgeson, a simple visit to Phyllis Gannon on Wednesday afternoon to deliver a birthday card for Phyllis, turned into visiting long enough to enjoy a bowl of chili with her and John. She was expecting a full house for Thanksgiving and also they were able to celebrate her 91st birthday that day.  It’s always an estimate when she is asked how many attended her family gatherings, but she lights up when she talks about them.  One Christmas, Robert and I were at loose ends and took a ride to Paton to see cousin Judy Wilson and on the way home, we stopped at Phyllis’s to visit with that crew.  It was several minutes before she noticed I was in the room and she never did see Robert!  It’s fun to be an observer in that loving family!

Jean Borgeson enjoyed Thanksgiving Day with Al and Ann Frederick and their families. Those attending were Bob and Hazel Frederick, Bret and Lizzie Pierce and daughters Laura and Allie, Bill and Melissa Frederick and Alan and Sarah Borgeson, Kane and Kale and Jenna Beyers.  Regrets were sent from Jerry, Mary and Taylor Hinton. Some enjoyed watching Al and Kane work off their meal with a little contest of shucking corn by hand into a wagon. The rest of the younger folks played a board game, while Hazel and I visited.  We were pretty sure the game they were playing required too much thinking for us.  As always, it is a day full of laughter in the Frederick household with much to be thankful for.
