On Wednesday, April 11, 2018, Nancy Hanaman, President of the Rippey Lions Club presented the Rippey Library Director, Shawneene Kenan with a check for $500. The library relies on donations as well as their own fundraisers each year to supplement the budget, so this gift is a wonderful, unexpected example of a local organization supporting their community. This gift also represents the community as a whole, who support the Lions Club fundraisers in their efforts to contribute to their projects for the community. The library is very grateful to the Rippey Lions Club for this donation.
