The Friends of Rippey received $1908.00 from the Greene County Community Foundation last March. The requested funds were made available to refurbish the bathrooms at the Walt Anderson Field at the Rippey Base Ball diamond. The required 25 per cent match, of $637.00 for this his project was provided by the Friends of Rippey. The Walt Anderson field is currently used by the Middle School Baseball players of Greene County. The City of Rippey leases the ball park to the Greene County School Administration.
This past month the Mayor, Dan Brubaker, and Mary Weaver, Mary Hick, and Sharon Ulrich of the Friends of Rippey gathered at the Ball Park to review the completed upgrade of the bathrooms. In the photo they are admiring the new sink in the women’s bathroom.
