DESCRIPTION:Holiday Lighting \nThe Thomas Jefferson Education and Welcome Center Board is aiding in the promotion of the upcoming Holiday Community spirit by seeking the names and locations of exterior Christmas Lighting residences in Jefferson and Greene County. This is the second time the Gardens have sponsored this event. \nIt is not a contest\, there are no prizes. Rather it is an opportunity to publicly display to Greene County residents that you want to celebrate Christmas. \nIt is simple to participate. Call Beth at the Chamber Office\, 515-386-2155\, and provide your address prior to November 15th. Once collected the information will be transferred to a map showing the location all of the residences submitted. \nIf you have a neighbor or relative who has a colorful lighting display\, please nominate them. We will obtain permission to place their residence on the map so that others may enjoy the lights. \nThe maps will be available at the Chamber office\, and Greene County’s businesses and Greene County’s community libraries. The maps will be available throughout the Holiday Season beginning on November 30 thru December 24th. \nHost residents will be requested to have their lights on from 5:30 P.M. until 9:00P.M. There is no interior home visitations associated with this endeavor. \nHappy Holidays to all as we embrace the Christmas Season in Greene County.
