Derry Grocery Sold To Allen Senter, October, 1942

From The Globe Free Press, October 29, 1942

Derry Grocery Sold

Mrs. Floyd Derry, who for several years has operated a grocery store in Rippey, sold the stock last week to Allen Senter, who took possession Wednesday morning. Mr. Senter is not new in the grocery business. Several years ago he, with his father, operated a general store and the past year has been assisting in the Pelley Grocery store. Mr. Senter will be welcomed into his new business by his many friends.

Mr. and Mrs. Derry will leave soon for Washington where they will be employed. It is with deep regret we learn that these fine people are to leave our Iowa, but hope them the best of luck in their new surroundings.

They will leave soon after for the west. Paul Johnson of Tacoma, Washington, who has been visiting here the past month, will return at the same time for his home.
