Mary (Fry) Liebich has received word of the death of a relative, Dorthy (Ford) Ashmore, of San Jose, CA. Dorthy was born in Rippey on April 20, 1914 and passed away on January 14, 2008. Dorthy had been a resident of San Jose for 67 years. She worked as a supervisor for the Santa Clara County Records Department for 30 years. She is survived by a daughter, Donna Ashmore, a son, Paul Ashmore, a grandchild and several great grandchildren as well as her sister, Doris Wood. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Phil. Services were held graveside at Oak Hill Cemetery on January 18. Mary’s brother, George Fry, who lives in California was able to attend the service.
