Rippey Mayor, Dan Brubaker was honored at a reception on Sunday, December 14th at the Rippey Community Center. Dan has chosen to end his public service to the City of Rippey. Elected to the Rippey City Council in 1978, he served as a Rippey City Council member for 31 years.
In 2009, he was elected as Mayor and served in that role for 16 years. A total of 47 years of public service in Rippey!
The reception, sponsored by the Rippey City Council, was coordinated by Rippey City Clerk, Mary Millard. A lunch of pulled pork sandwiches, potato salad, little smokies, with water and fruit punch as beverages was completed with cupcakes and or cookies. The meal was served from 12-2:00 P.M.
Several Rippey residents, current and former City Council members braved the frigid temperatures to attend and to thank Dan for his service to the Rippey community.
