As the library celebrates, hopefully there will be many memories to share. I was lucky to be chosen to be the assistant for Doris Tipton. After she retired, I was hired to serve as the librarian. I have fond memories of the “regulars” who came in weekly to get their books. It was a treat when Jim and Marge Benshoof, Lee Dorris and Don Anschutz came in at the same time. After selecting their books, they would sit at the table and reminisce about their childhoods and growing up in and around Rippey. These conversations ignited my interest in local history and genealogy. Be sure to email Cara at rippeyli@windstream.net with your memories for the celebration.
