It was another enjoyable evening’s entertainment presented by the musical talents of Janice Johnston’s students. Janice was proud to introduce her Violin Orchestra, consisting of all her students, who performed six selections to open the program. The program included each student performing piano and violin solos, as well as some duets and ensembles. The program ended with five students performing three violin numbers together.
Noted on the program, Janice congratulated Ethan Hooper as a graduating senior. She thanked the parents, families, Friends of Rippey, Rippey City Council, and community members who support student music instruction. Also, “a special thank yout o the families of Carson Griffith and Judy Lint for providing the piano we love to play.”
A patient and willing kitchen staff, headed by Ned Johnston, provided folks with some tasty food to eat while visiting.
Besides the parents, siblings, grandparents and friends of the students, Jack Lint and Betty Griffith, as well as John and Alice Hamilton, who brought their granddaughter, attended the performance. Jack and John both knew my husband before I entered the picture over 63 years ago. I never get tired of hearing their memories of Ralph and his dad,Karl. It was a good ending of another special recital.
