Good Morning to Friends of Rippey,
A meeting of the membership is scheduled for Sunday evening, October 20, at 6:30 P.M. at the Rippey library community room.
We need to determine the projects FOR will be sponsoring for the Rippey Sesquicentennial to be held August 1, 2020. This includes fireworks, mural, restoration at ball park, etc.
FOR activities includes creating and selling of old time post cards, identifying location of former businesses, and an update on I REMEMBER RIPPEY.
The tentative and frequently changing schedule for the day begins with Chris Cakes breakfast at 8:30, Parade at 10:00, Food and craft vendors, Car show at 1:00, Ball game at 3:00.
The following items will be added to the schedule of events:
Ice Cream social at the church, bingo, opening of the time capsule, historic pageant, historical artifact exhibits, community choir singing, a dance, a band concert, and FIREWORKS at dusk.
Children’s activities will include a miniature tractor pull, face painting, and bouncy houses.
Upcoming events to aid in finances includes a Halloween soup supper October 31, and a Breakfast December 7.
Please try to attend this meeting, or respond electronically with your suggestions/thoughts about where we should direct FOR dollars.

$15.00 will include mailing, $10.00 if you pick up. Will post on Facebook when they are available.

Will be ordering Rippey School Memorial bricks February 1st. A minimum order of 10 provides a much better shipping rate.
