The Rippey Lions held its regular meeting on Jan. 16. DeAnn Thompson and Nancy Hanaman served the meal. Plans were shared for serving food for the BRR Ride on Feb. 1.
At the next meeting on Jan. 30 with a potluck meal, the interactive program will involve Lions members peeling potatoes and other preparations for the Feb. 1 event.
The program was presented by Dan Acton who shared a pictures and background on his work restoring old tractors. There was a brief discussion on preference for red or green tractors. He plans to drive one of his tractors in Rippey’s Sesquicentennial parade on Aug. 1. Since the group is meeting on Jan. 30, there will not be a meeting on Feb. 6.
