Friends were notified of the death of Karen Peters, 78, of Burlington, formerly of Rippey, Ft. Dodge, and Humboldt. Karen was the daughter of Bruce and Bernice (States) Cain and graduated with the class of 1956.
Funeral services for Karen, who died in Burlington on March 25, 2017, were held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 29 at the Rippey United Methodist Church in Rippey. Burial was in the Rippey Cemetery. Visitation was held Tuesday, March 28 at Hastings Funeral Home in Jefferson after 1:00 p.m. with her family present from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Memorials may be sent to the Burlington Humane Society.
Karen is survived by her children: Kathy Jensen of Waukee, IA; David Peters of Humboldt, IA; Jane Ericson of West Pueblo, CO; Donna Peters of Lakewood, CO; Julie Georgiou of Denver, CO; and Doug Peters of Burlington, IA; and ten grandchildren. Hastings funeral home in Perry was in charge of arrangements.
