Updates: I REMEMBER RIPPEY
Thirty-seven authors participated in the “I Remember Rippey” collection of remembrances, many submitting multiple stories.  Thank you replies have been sent to all.

The deadline for acceptance of the remembrances was April 30; those stories submitted after that date likely will not appear in the printed booklet published in 2020, but may be published online.  (Subject to a decision about when the celebration will be held.)

Each author was invited to submit a brief biography to be printed with his/her remembrance(s).

Also received were 15 one-to three-line memories that will provide variety on the printed pages.  The name only of the writer will follow these submissions.

Our designer/printer, Janice Harbaugh, has received the first batch of materials to begin lay-out of the sesquicentennial booklet.

Readers were encouraged also to enjoy the Rippey History/Genealogy information on the Library site, including a good deal of history about Rippey in the news.

Special thanks go to volunteer Sarah Killgore, who for many months has formatted and published the remembrances once or twice a week on the Rippey News website under the tab “Rippey Sesquicentennial.”

Respectfully submitted,

Phyllis McElheney Lepke, coordinator
