Over the Labor Day weekend Toni and Phil Roberts received a call from their granddaughter Lindsay Rinehart from Bettendorf to come for a visit the next day. Much to their delightful surprise the visit included Lindsay’s sisters and husbands and children–Sarah and Corey Bradley and sons Camden and Corbyn of Winterset and Karen and Gregg Rooney with nine month old son, Jordan of Churdan and also the Bradley family’s new puppy Leo! The visit had grown to a full blown party when Chris and Brenda Roberts arrived with pizzas for everyone! Three birthdays were celebrated. That same day was Gregg’s birthday on Sep 3rd and Sarah’s upcoming birthday on Sep 8th and belated wishes for Karen’s birthday on Aug 17th. Although there wasn’t any birthday cake, Grandma Toni did have the girl’s favorite cookies in the freezer(2 dozen of frosted pink cookies) for each! Spontaneous celebrations are the best kind, especially with family! It was a very enjoyable afternoon!
