On August 12th, the Rippey Public Library hosted a special storytime event – a camp out! Kids had a great time listening to crickets, playing in tents, eating ‘smores, and gazing at the stars… all indoors? Indeed! The late-night storytime event happened inside the library. With a sound machine, a star projector, and some tents, the outdoors came inside. Attendees enjoyed two camping stories before they ate their ‘smores- made in the microwave! Children created a paper lantern craft and had the opportunity to participate in a picture scavenger hunt with flashlights around the “camp site.” This late-night summer event was a memorable one.
