The next Rippey Lions Club meeting is Thursday, Feb. 20, 7 p.m. at the Rippey United Methodist Church beginning with a served meal. The club recently welcomed Greg Jacobs as a new member. Greg is a 3rd generation member with his father, Paul Jacobs, and grandfather, John Jacobs members in past years. Paul was a district governor and John was a charter member in 1944.
Several Rippey folks attended the event featuring State Representative Phil Thompson and State Senator Jerry Behn at the Thomas Jefferson Welcome Center, Jefferson, earlier in February to share their comments on the legislative session so far and to answer questions. Rick Morain is the moderator and will be with them again on March 14 at the Welcome Center starting at 10:30 a.m.
