Children’s book week will be May 1st- May 7th. The Library will be celebrating the week by playing a ” Finish the Story in a Paragraph” Game on Tuesday and Thursday at 4:30 pm, where the kids will have a page of a book, choosing the first five words on the page as the final words of a story. They will have 3 minutes to write the final paragraph of that story and share their writing skills.
I am planning on a Mother’s Day card craft with the kids on May 10th at 3:30. The kids will be putting together and designing Tag Cards for their mumsy’s.
I also want the kids and the parents to know about Absolute Science, with Rick Brammer. This program is put on by the GCLA and will be coming to the Grand Junction Library on May 8th at 9 am. The kids will be coming from the school for this special event. Anyone who attended Toddler Fest will recognize him as the balloonist that was there.
