The Rippey Lions Club shared a potluck meal at its recent meeting. During the business meeting, they reviewed BRR Ride plans and preparations and made plans for a breakfast at the Rippey United Methodist Church on April 7. The group also discussed donations to community work and other worthy causes.

The special guest for the meeting was Lions Club district governor Paul Thompson of Woodward. He shared information about the upcoming district convention in Fort Dodge and many of the important state, national and international projects that the Lions Club organization sponsors. This includes hurricane relief in the United States and abroad, the Leader Dog program and the Iowa Eye Bank. The next meeting will be on March 15 at 7 pm at the Rippey United Methodist Church with a guest presenting updated information on the Greene County Schools referendum with the vote on April 3. ~Nancy Hanaman reporting
