Connie Neese and Jean Borgeson enjoyed being a part of the group of family and friends who surprised Dale Thompson for his 70th birthday. The event was held at the Rippey Community Center on Friday evening, January 12, and was hosted by his daughters, and their families. I have been in on surprises and have been surprised on a couple occasions myself, and that second when the honoree reacts and you know it worked, is so much fun! Dale’s folks, Dar and Helen, were part of the group of neighbors who welcomed me into the neighborhood 54 years ago last November. Dar was on the CO-OP board and when they went on the annual CO-OP tour, Ralph and I stayed with the four Thompson kids. Such good memories for this old lady!
